the QrltAI Hackathon & Startup Weekend
The concept was designed to bring together government officials and startup founders. At the beginning of the event, teams were given real-world cases to work on, developing innovative projects in response.
Insights from the QrltAI Hackathon & Startup Weekend research:
• The key obstacles to AI adoption in government agencies are: 45% – lack of infrastructure, 35% – insufficient quality data, and 20% – bureaucratic challenges.
• 85% of participants expressed a desire to continue their education and deepen their knowledge of artificial intelligence, indicating high demand for educational initiatives.
Lack of AI experts for implementation in government structures:
Interest in further AI education:
• In 80% of government agencies, there are no specialists to coordinate AI implementation. Only 20% of departments have such personnel.
Limited awareness of AI among government officials:
Number of solutions proposed for cases:
• About 65% of participants have a basic understanding of artificial intelligence, 25% have an intermediate level, and only 10% possess advanced knowledge in the field. This highlights the need for more in-depth educational programs for government officials.
• During the hackathon, the highest number of solutions were proposed in the fields of medicine (3 solutions) and transport infrastructure management (2 solutions). Other cases, including procurement control and price monitoring, received 1-2 solutions each.
