Kazakhstan startup DOQ.kz conquers the Eastern European market and closes the first bridge round

DOQ.kz, a service for finding doctors with genuine reviews, completed the first bridge round of investments and attracted $660,000 from the MOST Ventures venture fund, as well as a number of other investors. The funds raised will help the startup to expand its presence in Hungary and launch a service in Romania and the UAE.
DOQ.kz has already gained the trust of more than 400 private clinics and 3,000 doctors in Kazakhstan, having collected more than 340 thousand authentic patient reviews. This year, the company successfully entered the markets of Hungary (odoktor.hu), Romania (prodoctor.ro) and Kyrgyzstan (odoctor.kg), where it is rapidly increasing its presence. The service provides full transparency: all reviews remain unchanged and can only be edited by patients, which makes the platform trustworthy for both patients and medical institutions.
"We see in DOQ.kz not just a startup, but a team with powerful motivation and a clear vision, capable of changing the medical services market in Eastern Europe and beyond. We are impressed by their concept of creating a Booking to find doctors. This investment was one of the last from our first fund, and we are sure that this is a significant step, emphasizing the importance of their mission to make medicine more accessible and transparent to people. The company has a number of technological innovations that you will hear about and part of the investment will go to," commented Alim Khamitov, Managing Partner of MOST Ventures.
DOQ.kz has already shown significant success in the Hungarian market: about 4,000 patients are registered monthly through the odoktor.hu platform in Budapest. The company plans to reach a leading position in the market within a year, ahead of competitors.
"Our principle is absolute transparency: all feedback left by patients remains on the platform without changes and interference. We do not edit or delete reviews, which contributes to a significant increase in trust from both patients and doctors. Doctors have repeatedly noted that our project makes a significant contribution to improving the quality of medical services in the country," the founder of DOQ.kz emphasized.
The DOQ.kz team has 45 employees, nine of whom work in development. After the pandemic, the company switched to a completely remote work format, which allowed it to focus on global expansion and optimize internal processes for sustainable growth.
